TR2/3/3A TR3A rear valance lower seam

Im putting seam sealer on my tub and was wondering if the lower seam on the rear valance,where the flanges but together should be sealed.Mine had two areas that the flange is about 1/8 open,about 1 1/2 long,possibly to drain if water gets behind rear valance?I dont want to flatten and seal if they are drains.

Mine came sealed...and all the drains were plugged. I assume the assumption was that water would never get in, so no need to provide a drain. Not a very good assumption!?!

Thanks John,I couldnt tell if the gaps where factory drain provision or just poor fit.I guess its possible water could get in from the spare tire compartment seam,but I am sealing this area good,so may just close gaps and seal,
