Well if reads at all that is good thing because the main spring is not broken. In the day and I was at a swap meet, the to test to see if it was worth buying cheap as a possible good one was to hold it in your hand, and twist your wrist. If it bounced back, the main guts were in tacked. I would try and fix yours by removing the front glass and the two screws in the back to see if the rubber grommets have dissolved and got on the cup. You can clean that with brake clean. I say this because when you send yours off to get fixed, they often send back one that is a rebuild off the shelf. I have remove the jewel workings in many and got them working fine. It is a little complicated, but not that bad.
