One more wiring question [and some progress]

So I got the dashlights, front running lights and driver side headlight working (hoo whoo). Passenger side is likely burned out so I'll deal with that in the normal course of business.

There is a wiring assembly hanging loose in the drivers side footwell and I'm not quite sure what to do with it.

The alignment of this image is wrong - mentally turn it 90 degrees to the right so it is hanging down.

That is the connection of the front and the rear wiring harnesses. With all the paint on it I can't remember what the small one is for. Maybe the seat wires?Do they match up with the seat buzzer?

Remember, everything is color coded. Just follow your wiring diagram to see what that plug is. My 73 had a seat belt interlock. Just cut it out.

TD, as best as I recall, you should have a matching 8 pin plug to the one you show.... I only buttoned up the cover just last week. That side of the car is inaccessible to me right now, otherwise I'd take it apart, and snap you a pic. I only remember because there are two long strips of tape holding those plugs against the inboard side of the footwell, covered w/ the interior panel. I unplugged them and treated them with contact cleaner, and a little dielectric grease...
Perhaps someone else will chime in....

One of those wires on the 3-wire plug looks to be blue/black (or black/blue). On the '74 wiring diagram it looks like that goes to the LH seat sensor switch. The other wire is probably black/brown and goes to the LH seat belt switch. The third wire I'm guessing under that paint would be green/light green and would go to the neutral safety switch (whatever that is). I'm just going off the wiring diagram. I'm assuming the larger plug goes to the rear lights.

Thanks guys - sure enough that was the front / rear connection point. I now have power to the rear of the car. Once the front to rear conneciton was made it took a couple of minutes to figure out that there was a bad ground but once that was fixed the running lights started working.

No turn signal or flashers yet, and the brake lights are still out, but at least I have then connected.

I really appreciate the help!
