Here's the newest member of the family. She's a '78 with a chrome conversion. First stop was to have her checked out and a few issues under the hood resolved. Mechanically she's great but needs some body work - which will come later on.

Yearn ago we did my brother's '71 B-GT in a Lincoln burgundy colour. It had a "prismatic" look and we tweaked the mill with an 0.040" overbore, 10:1 comp, Weber DCOE, CC'd chambers... What a wonderful car. Your photo sent me immediately back to that machine. Good looking B and welcome to the BCF!!!

The conversion is sort of so-so guys. It needs a bit of tweaking to get it right. Fortunately there is a fine British car specialist locally who is going to handle the tougher parts of the work for me. The car's suspension has not yet been lowered and I may leave it where it is so as to not bottom out on the numerous speed bumps that are blossoming like weeds in this area. It needs some front end work and of course the rust issues are waiting to be tackled. The car was originally green, but I like the colour it now wears so will probably leave it alone.

If chrome bumper cars will go over the speed bumps, lower away...it'll look more true to the body design - & handle differentl;y if you do the lowering without affecting front end geometry.....& since it needs front end work, why not lower at same time?

Tony, you are probably right in what you say. I just remember my old '70 bottoming on every one I went over. Still, I have time to think about it and am beginning to come around.
