Gentlemen, two quick questions: 1. I want to order my exhaust system from Moss so that I can install it before I remove the car from the rotisserie. Car is 59 100/6 BN4 (has a 3000 AH engine in it). Which exhaust system would be the correct one? I would be springing for the stainless steel if possible. 2. I have cleaned the intake (boy, it looks good all cleaned and shiny compared to what I started with), what do you guys use, if anything, to keep it looking this way? Thanks for the help, again. Doug

For the intake, and any other aluminum (or brass) bits, I use Nevr-Dull polishing wadding. If you wanted to preserve that look, try sourcing a high heat clear "paint" in an aerosol can__pretty sure I've seen such at the local parts stores.

For the exhaust, the first question is, did you install a BJ8 left-front outrigger (with increased cutout to tuck up the exhaust? Similarly, if the outrigger was good to begin with, it can be mnodified like the BJ8, as I did.

For an out of the box system, you could use one for the BN7/BT7 (3000 MKI/MKII). I'm not sure on the downpipe selection; if you have the cutout, then the BJ8 pipes, but again, I'm not certain on the pipe mating sizes (my own car has headers and an Ansa with fabricated/bent pipes between the two).

thanks Randy! I have the original BN4 outrigger. No modifications. Since I have spent several years and $ repairing the metal and the scuttle is now painted, I really don't want to change anything. The engine swap had occurred sometime in the life of the car that was raced. I rebuilt this engine due to the increased performance that it offered and the fact that it is still an Austin Healey engine.
