Paul, If I were you, I would just call The Roadster Factory and order all new studs, telling them what car you have. You will play the dickens trying to find these studs from NAPA or most other automotive vendors. These are all SAE fine thread on both ends. Studs are generally a grade 8 quality. Don't even think about using stainless here. Make sure that you order the correct nuts and lock washers as well. I opted for grade 8 all-metal lock nuts and the appropriate flat washers on some of the studs because of a clearance problem that headers will cause. Plus, the metal lock nuts I found had a tapered head which gave me a little more working room.
Getting them out of the head can be tricky if they are frozen in. Because of the short length of the studs, the usual donut-shaped stud remover usually won't work. I used a really large pair of locking pliers and a hammer to coax them out.
