I am getting around to test a few theories on my horn which does not work.
I have tested the horn directly by wiring direct to the battery - she blows.
I have hopped a wire from my ground to the relay - she blows.
I have removed the horn assembly from the steering column and have taken the horn wire and connected to a ground - and she blows.
I have taken the assembly apart - ensured that the brass connection ( round brass disk- with a coiled wire) is touching the brass connection contact ( small round 5mm ) by compressing the shield so that all connect expecting it to blow - she did not.
I touched the connection pin on the back of the assembly piece( while the horn wire was connected to it) to the inner steering column ring ( hoping to ground) - she did not blow.
I know that the horn works by grounding - what am I doing wrong and what is the fix?
thanks ever so much
