Wecome to the Forum! It is nice to see another "blaze" 74 B on the road again. The best advice I can offer, when looking for problems, is to not bother...they will find you soon enough

Seriously, the best thing you can do is sit down for a couple of hours (or days even) and read though the old old posts and follow some links. That will give a you good idea of problems and solutions that others have had.

The LBC Forum is a great resource to have and lots of good information, if you just read though alot of the BS (entertaining too sometimes)and follow the links to other sources and so on.

Good Luck with your new hand me down toy!

& live with it for at least a year before you start any major modifications/upgrades....get to know the car, find out what you personally like or dislike about it...I've seen too many projects end up abandoned because the PO jumped in & started tearing things apart without a full knowledge of the car....

Rust and corrosion are your biggest enemies when working with 30 year old equipment. But that is true even with a Boeing B-52! Even the much criticized electrical system works well if you take care of the corrosion issue with conductive grease on the connectors, and look for cracked or broken wires. Bruce and Tony are correct, don't go jumping in looking for problems, they will find you...in whatever form.
Welcome to the forum, and best of luck with your new toy.

Congratulations on the '74 B. I also have a '74 B-GT in the Orange (Blaze).
My suggestion would be to really get to know the car. The fine folks on this forum are amazing. I spend a lot of time lurking in the shadows getting answers to questions I didn't even know I had.
Good luck.
