Engine component paint

A question for the experts, I'm presently reassembling the engine for my BJ7 and would like to know the proper paint color for the distributor/tachometer drive unit? I've seen one source that said something to the effect that the distributors were not painted with the motors but did not say what color they were. The drive unit I have seems to have a coat of black paint under all the grease & grime. While we are at it can anybody tell me if any other engine "bolt-ons" were painted something other than Healey engine blue?

The generator, starter, motor mounts and transmission (bellhousing for certain) were all painted (green) after the engine was assembled, so I cannot imagine that the distributor drive was not.

It's possible that the (aluminum) distributor itself was not painted, either by careful use of the gun or perhaps a paper bag over it, but I'd bet money that the drive and associated oil feed pipe was painted (green) to match, and at the same time as the engine.

YEP All of them were painted a unique Healey engine green including the engine.
The distributor was not painted and Randy will win his bet regarding the Distributor drive assembly.--Keoke-

Thanks guys. I have a hard time differentiating between blue & green. Sometimes when I see it it looks blue, sometimes green. The paint I bought is the "official" Healey GREEN as sold by the usual suspects. Just wanted to make sure I was painting all the right parts the right color.
