AH Project: Cool Air to Engine

Finally got around to doing the final mocking up of my engine/cool air delivery. I've had this in the works for a long long time, but this is the first time I was at a point to verify all the positioning/clearances/routing. I have a bit more to do before I call it final. You may note that the fender has a channel to accommodate the duct. The air filter is inside the black tube in the middle of the run. It's been spec'd to handle up to 250 HP which is clearly more than I will need.

That's some NASA level of engineering. I think I've seen that manifold somewhere (though not so nicely polished). Huffaker? Are your hydraulic lines cupro-nickel?

Bob, well I haven't seen the Huffaker one. I designed this manifold and had a very talented young man weld it up for me... in total it's got 13 pieces. There are 6 injectors under the runners. Yes, the brake lines are cupro-nickel, much easier to work with and legal. I really don't like doing brake lines so was happy to try cupro-nickel.

Beautiful workmanship. Too bad you have to cover most of it up with a body - don't get me wrong, these are one of the prettiest bodies ever but sometimes I wish we could just run with the interesting stuff exposed!!!
