Door Skin Help Please

I need the opinions of anyone with door skin replacement experience. My dilemma is that I have a British Heritage door skin ordered with TRF that has been on back order for two months and is holding up my body work. I emailed Moss motors to ask them about there door skins and received this response..

TRF is a good supplier, but concentrating on Triumph
I would contact the little British Car Company https://www.LBCarCo.com they respond very quick and you can talk to knowledgeable people there. Door skins need be of first quality. And while you are there, check with a pro body shop to have them tack inside a reinforcement where the «crack of doom» usually develops as time goes by. I would also look into just pasting on a piece of PowerMesh painted over with Por15 paint; check the webside at www.por15.com
All POR15 products are <ultimate class» for ease of use and filling their promises, they are one of the trade secrets. However, special precautions need to be followed, the fumes can be toxic if the area is not well ventilated, I mean as ventilated as outdoors.
Remember the fit and finish of an MG door tells a lot about the state of the car and the least missfit will induce water leaks with known consequences.

One last tip, spray the inside of both door panels (skin and interior panel) with GALVICON (zinc paint), you may find this at NAPA or from companies who produce or install metal fencing. This is like galvanizing the inside of your doors.
