Sorry Bob, I had to jump on the bandwagon.

It's not near as nice as Bob67BGT but a goodie. It's a '65 pull handle that needs a lot of work but I feel the need to save it. She's missing some bits but it is quite a time piece. I've got most of the original parts that came with it. She's next in line for body work which will hopefully begin in the next month. I'll keep it green with a Black/White piping interior.

I sense the start of a new BCF Game. Actually I just picked mine up a few hours ago so it's your turn.

I guess it is catching. This is a 71 Roadster that followed me home (towbar).
It has had two previous owners. It has a folder that has receipts and all sorts of records, back to and including the original invoice. The sad part is that the really ugly color is a really nice paint job. Door jambs, inside the boot, under the hood, everything. Original color was a dark green. Still has the original seats, Vinyl is good, needs some restitching. It also has ALL the smog equipment (Oh boy). It was traded in on a boat a couple of years ago and the boat and RV dealer really wanted it gone. I didn't steal it, but is was close.

Way to go!! Just don't cover it with that blue tarp or you'll quickly have a pile of British rust in your yard.

Decent looking car you got there Clif.

Sorry to say my '65 is sitting under a blue tarp just for the next few weeks. It't been covered since Last Friday and I need to keep it that way until the body guy is ready for it. He's got a small garage and a huge Rover is in the way right now. I'm hopefully heading up to it on Sunday and maybe I'll try and get it into my mom's garage.

The tarp only covers the bad windows in the top. Plus, It will be emerging this week. The thing it needs most urgently is a new ignition switch lock cylinder.
The car even has original floor mats, in really good condition. One of the first two owners has taken some "artistic license" with some features. Replaced the headlight switch. Probably due to the conversion to Hella headlights without a relay. A really nifty leather saddle over the trans tunnel, different door pulls which are polished aluminum, not plastic. It also had the biggest cassette tape player I have ever seen mounted in the passenger footwell.
I'm looking forward to getting it out, cleaned up and brought back to life.

I drug the MG out of it's storage spot and started cleaning it up. Took the carbs off and spent three hours cleaning them and freeing up the jets. Gas tank went to the shop to get boiled. Next thing is take the fuel pump off and clean it up. I took the seat covers off and stitched up the blown out seams. It has solid vinyl, just bad thread. I need to get the top put on but it is too cold right now. Research has shown that I am actually the second owner. The original owner made a few changes, but nothing that can not be corrected. I hope to get it on the road soon.
