New here so bear with me, the car is a 65 Sprite, I was told by someone experienced with these cars the this is the correct frame. The front rail and latches line up correctly but the rear attachment seems completely wrong. What am I missing?
Pat,
The width of the rop frame suggests that it might be for an MGB not a Spridget. Measure the width of the top bows as well as the frame mounting points and post the numbers.
Rut
I'm pretty sure the '65 frame slides down into the two holes on either side of the cockpit. Not sure what that frame is for, but it looks like a '66.
Keith
as Keith said that is a fold down frame from a 66 on it wont fit I tried to modify one to fit my 65 with no luck you need the early frame that is in 2 pieces an stows in the boot
Russ is right and the cutoff year was 67. Late 64 through 66 used the two piece stowable top frame. Mk3 Sprite and Mk2 midget. The two Spridgets that I prefer!
