Generator is putting out about 14+ volts at about 900-1000 rpm connecting D and F together to volt meter+ and other to ground. Ignition light is staying. Check voltage at battery and nothing but the 12.25 volt tat was reading before I started car. Check terminals A and F together read 12.25 volts. Took cover off the regulator and noticed that the points to the right had side of car are completely closed and the points on the other side are gaped about .0045. Running car does not change these. Where do I go from here?
