To the best of my knowledge you ,may just have the wrong box. However, a very knowledgeable person may have set that box up correctly, if you didn't just buy it.---Keoke
Re: voltage regulator[control box] labeling proble
No, it was part of the car when I got it. Unfortunately I'm not sure what was or was not done and I imagine all I can do is to try hooking up the wires to what would be the correct ones on the other one & cross my fingers.
Robert,
I think the only problem you are having is you are looking at the wrong wiring diagram. The one with the control box labled EDWLFB is for early cars 100 6/3000.
And the one with control box AI A F D E is 100 6/3000 .
Do you have the green Austin Healey workshop Manuel? If not let me know and I will send you a copy of the correct diagram.
Re: voltage regulator[control box] labeling proble
Robert,
I will send you the diagrams Monday from my work e-mail.
Look at my edited response on your thread about wiring color code discrepacies and you may be able to determine the wiring for your voltage regulator. It looks to me you could make either box work easily enough by seeing where the wires terminate.

Re: voltage regulator[control box] labeling proble
Bob,
I checked today and the manual I have is a bentley manual. I also verified that the wires are set up properly for the A1AFDE box. but I would appreciate your forwarding the diagram as there are other matters of confusion as well
