Twosheds Back On Line

If anyone cares, I am now back on the Forum after about a month of being incommunicado whilst my computer was fitted with some new vaccuum tubes.

I am once again able to supply smarmy remarks and useless information.

What did I miss?

DAle trying to rebuild, tighten bearings , on his front end

John - welcome back!

Wondered if you had decided to keep you tent up at Valley Forge after the VTR show closed.

Lots of new things about TeeYah to relate when you have time.

Tom
PS - did your computer need a new 6AU6? Mine was running low on kerosene for a while ...

DoT4 vs DoT5, which oil in ODs, eBay scams revealed... I don't think you'll have much trouble catching up. Sort of like missing a month of a soap opera.

Indeed it was good to meet ya, John!

Glad you're back with us.

Doctor J,

Well, let's just say that the eBay scammers are still around and Dale and that red devil are still fighting down in Puerto Rico.

That about sums it up!

Nice to have you back.

Well if people start posting how to build patio decks and fixing shed doors, I'm going to purposely break my computer. Those are the reasons I joined this forum.

Is there any relation to Arthur "Two Sheds" Jackson?

Hey, hey, hey now!

Sounds like Dale has the beast beaten.

Crypt car is now becoming Amos.... soon, very, very soon!

We are not blood kin, but Arthur and I share the nickname.

Third Interviewer Last week the Royal Festival Hall saw the first performance of a new symphony by one of the world's leading modern composers, Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson. Mr Jackson.

Jackson Good evening.

Third Interviewer May I just sidetrack for one moment. Mr. Jackson, this, what shall I call it, nickname of yours.

Jackson Ah yes.

Third Interviewer 'Two sheds'. How did you come by it?

Jackson Well, I don't use it myself, it's just a few of my friends call me 'Two Sheds'.

Third Interviewer I see, and do you in fact have two sheds?

Jackson No. No, I've only one shed. I've had one for some time, but a few years ago I said I was thinking of getting another one, and since then some people have called me 'Two Sheds'.

Etc. etc. etc.

I can attest to the fact that John actually does have "Two Sheds", and they are quite full...although rumor has it that an organizational effort was recently initated by the Chief Boffin.

TRclassic3 is quite correct, I do have two sheds.

One houses the HSTRL Laboratory and The Blue TR3 and has recently been organized so that the Boffins can now walk around in it without fear of tripping over a TR3 part. It's also a shelter for homeless mice.

The other shed, formerly the HSTRL Annex, is rented to a Mad Boffin who uses it to store The Very First TVR Vixen Ever Made and some TR3 parts.

Welcome back, John!

Since this is a LBC forum, shouldnt we be saying you needed some vacuum "valves" for your computer rather then "tubes"?

I mean, if we use "spanner" and "bonnet", we might as well call them "valves" too, right?

You're right, Aldwyn, and I apologise. I thought of it after I clicked on SEND.

It actually needed a Hydrogen Valve, an Interoceter, and a Flux Capacitor.

P.S. Missed you at Gettysburg somehow.

I've a goodly supply of 6AU6's any time that occurrs in future, John. And a few dozen 12V assorted as well. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif
