TR6 , the adapter from the manifold pipe to the thermostat housing.
BSP ,yes but does any one know if it is BSPP or BSPT???

I'm not even certain it's BSP, since similar connections on the TR2-4 are NPT.

However, if it is BSPP (parallel threads), then there will be some other arrangement for sealing, like a fiber washer. Only tapered threads are self-sealing.

There is a washer on it which makes me think BSPP

That part looks very much like the PCV connection to the intake manifold on the 4A. Definitely an odd size, and not tapered threads.

Don, I just sold my spare a few weeks ago so I can't go down and check it for you. I cannot find the spare fitting that goes in there either.

Do you need the fitting, or just want to screw something in the hole? I have an extra or two (assuming the 4A version is the same). Let me know.

Actually trying to wrestle one out of a spare housing. Everything came off but that bugger.
Gonna put an adapter to NPT there.

Cut the end off, and tap what is left?

I kind of screwed up the one I had by trying to tap it. Not a lot of meat there

Well, never mind.
Broke it off trying to get it out.
Ended up taking it (or is that bring it) to the machinist and he tapped it to 3/8's NPT

Of course this was after I drove to S. Seattle to get the adapter!! :madder: :madder:
