I borrowed a spring compressor for Ms Triss. (not that one) was still too big for a Midget

Depends on the access you have to the spring. It says "strut" spring compressor in the ad, that usually means the unit is out of the vehicle when it is time to use the tool. It may be awkward to fit that rig into an LBC wheel well and get the proper purchase on the spring while in-situ. Tough to say without tryin' it. It would likely work on th' wedge front ones after you have the strut assembly out, tho.

Just my 2p.

Got one side out this morning. Shortened springs ~almost~ negate the need. They come apart without problems; reassembly I'm not so sure.

Take your time and just be sure they're positioned on the platform before compression and ya should be good-t-go.

I have a pair of the standard compressors. Will work fine for this; just lookin' at alternatives...

Can't talk about Triumphs; but, you don't need any type spring compressor for an MGB - the spring can't get out of its enclosure when all the tension is released.

Looks too big for an MGB - plus, if you're working on an MG, you don't need one.

I used it to do the struts on my Bimmer. Once I had them out of the car, it literally took me 15 minutes to swap them both. I think overall both struts in and out and swapping to around 2-3 hours. It was a bargain at $35 when I bought it two years ago.

Put a chain around them before you try to reassemble.
