General TR Spring boot sale Umpteenth Annual

I know its a bit early to think of spring, but planning ahead is smart. Each year I host a good old
fashioned boot sale for the Ks.City/Topeka area clubs. If there are any of you that have an interest in this,
and dont mind a little drive to get here, you might like to have the first weekend in April open.
I have some room for trailers, and provide Brauts and beer(some, not all you can hold). Mostly Triumph
and MG folks attend but you never can tell what shows up in a car boot!

What an awesome idea! I've been complaining about the lack of events in my area (I still don't know the area well enough to organize a tour myself) but I have the space to host a boot sale.

Don't worry about me stealing any of your crowd, I'm a full day's drive away from Topeka!

good of you to organize this. Our club puts on a car show every year and the swap meet is a great addition to the show. We usually get about 30 people selling at the swap meet. Some bring 40 foot trailers of stuff. I have bought something every year, but as my wife tells me, I don't need all the stuff I buy. And Plug for our swap meet!

A boot sale is a good way to kick start spring. It was a nasty day last year but the shop was warm
and pop ups kept the rain at bay. (spring in Kansas) .Car shows often have a swap meet but to my mind
it is two ideas that almost fight each other(juggling and bowling?). At least real, interested people
are all there for the same reason(and food/beer). Just getting the MOJO up for spring driving events
is nice.
It would be nutty to drive 8hrs to a boot sale, but if for some reason you needed a rare bit.( I have done
this)you might .

I've driven that far just to break car parts... as a racer I'm sure you can empathize! Scattering the engine during the first session of the test day makes for an even longer drive home.

Haydon , as have I brother. The heart break of a trashed motor in practice , with a 10 hr tow home
is a lot to beer(or bare)....... The only thing worse is one of the drivers thinking he can win the race
in the first lap
