Wedge Petosin coolant [red or blue] in a TR8?

I purchased some petosin coolant (reccomended) for my saab and was wondering if it was good for the Rover v8 alloy block? It's advertised to last longer than the green stuff, but does it have the same reputation as dexcool (orange) coolant?

Phil, that's original equipment for BMW, Mercedes, and a lot of the high end European cars.
It's the only coolant my buddy handles at his Euro import warehouse/jobber.
Good stuff. I don't see why it wouldn't be an excellent choice for the Rover, provided you flush the system thoroughly before changing over.

I think I misspelled the coolant it's "pentosin" I think. The advertising says that it is a "lifetime" coolant.

hey phil, the pentosin coolant is good stuff, the point of it is to be used in aluminum engines or radiators because the green coolant is corrosive to aluminum. i would definitly use that or the "gm" orange coolant in your car.

MAKE sure that you know the electrical conductivity factors of this coolant in relation to you rad and jackets. As some require particular electrovalent values

I would be using it with a freshly rebuilt engine, so flushing the block of old coolant wouldn't be necessary.
