Clutch Hydraulic Pipe Routing

One of the guys in my Triumph club is finishing up his TR3, and is having trouble with the routing of the clutch pipe from the master cylinder down to the flex hose. My car is totally disassembled, so I can't offer him a solution.

Could someone take a look and see how it's routed, or maybe post a picture??

This is as close as I have of a TR3, that I took in Falmouth during the Legends Weekend. I don't know if it's enough to help.

Mine is an early TR3A with the same master cylinders as the TR2 and TR3s. The clutch pipe comes up and over the edge , then down to snug under the reservoir and along the flat horizontal deck of the firewall, then down to the flex pipe. See Attachment above.

The pipe angles over and follows the same general parallel path as the feed line from the hyd. reservoir tank as seen in the pic and then I would (EDITED) go with Don's description here he bought his new! then drops straight down along the firewall. There is a metal clamp that wraps around the pipe and is bolted at and with the heater hose fitting screw (left side of hose as sitting in car). the pipe then goes straight down the firewall to the metal tab with hole welded to frame that the male rubber hose fitted end pushes up through and the metal pipe female end attaches too. At least that's how mine looks. Way too nice engine interior there almost makes me want to do mine...oh well, someday.

Don,

Do you have a pic showing where it goes tight under the reservoir? Mine seems to go to the outside front of the reservoir bracket and then down.
