BJ8 Clutch Pressure Plate, Old vs New

I need a pressure plate for my 1964 BJ8.
I have a new throw out bearing and new clutch disc.
I can buy a new AP pressure plate from Moss or a used B&B made in England.
Sometimes original older parts were better made then the reproduction China ones made now.

What does type 9 - 9 1/2" stamped on it mean?
What are the dark marks on the metal disc, which I've marked with arrows.

Older parts made in England I'll "assume" are made better then what's available now.
Interested to read your replies about if it's ok to use. Why yes or not.

It can take up to a 91/2 inch disc. It is the right size for your car, but is it the right model? Check this table.

Beyond that, you need to check to see what the clamping force is on this used PP. It's been a long time since I used used clutch parts, but I think the workshop manual should have specifications for the PP. You need to determine if the used plate is still up to snuff. FWIW, they usually are. Most often, people replace them due to the condition of the plate surface. But if it were me, I'd opt for a new PP.

If I want to be sure of good parts I go to Healey Surgeons in Maryland. They source most their inventory directly from the UK.

The blue paint marks on the diaphragm levers means it is for an XKE 4.2 which has a higher clamping load due to the approx 100 hp more it has over the Healey. The one specifically for the Healey has green paint. B&B are essentially made in China, AP driven discs are made in Italy, I dont know about the AP pressure plates. There was also the B&B part number stenciled in white paint originally, but someone probably cleaned the PP and it was removed.

What is the clamping load for XKE 4.2 and for the Healey 3000/BJ8?
Using this plate for the Healey, would it just require more foot pressure at the clutch pedal?
Would it be an advantage or not having more clamping load?
