I do not think he claimed it was beautiful. It was probably fun to build, and I'd guess he has little invested other than time.

Wow... That's kinda cool. And way, way, way more fun and comfortable to drive than a t-bucket.

True enough, I'm sure it's fun to drive, and I'm sure it gets looks, but your not getting looks because people think it's neat ... your getting looks for other reasons!

that is 100% rat rod. you have to understand that hobby. kinda get "out of your box" deal. I don't piddy in that hobby but I am amused by the Morfing of vehicles. I would give this project a C- since there is no patina and for keeping the windsheild stock

IMHO, this shows much more imagination with this particular genre.

I've seen a Morris done up in a similar fashion that was quite cool.

I like that one much better - better proportions to my eye - sure looks like a bugeye back with a Morris grille though.

Oh, it's a Bugeye alright. Not sure what the grille is from, but it's not a Morris... probably something American. I wish I could find the picture of the Morris Minor I saw. It was quite nice.

Yeah, I much prefer that primer-coloured Frog. That engine looks like a Triumph six (TR6, GT6,etc).
That first V8 car isn't even really a Spridget in my view.

It has become fairly common to see "rats" at local cruise night around here. We'll probably see some at the thing we're going to tonight.
I'm partial to inline sixes in these types of cars.
One of my students built a bucket-T rat with a 216 Chevy six. he was hoping to make it to the ~Jalopy Showdown~ in PA, but he couldn't get the brakes worked out in time.

I consider my recently-built ~948 RWA Midget~ a "rat" because it's roller painted and built from all my scrap parts.......but it's not even close to being ratty compared to some of the stuff I see.

Looks like a 35 Ford grille with the bottom 4-6" whacked off.

The raked chop top is very popular in the UK. I really dig those too and there are many many nice example of this style, but that's not really a ratrod.
