Don't I know that feeling; right now there are not one but TWO Herald projects on eBay, only about 35 miles from me! :wall:

Meanwhile, I'm trying best I can to fight a minor case of shipwright's disease on my Herald. I took the sills off today (they're only held on with Philips head sheet metal screws -- and that's how they're SUPPOSED to be held on, so don't get all jealous on me) in preparation for a friend stopping over tomorrow to assess what needs to be done to weld two new outriggers onto the chassis. I also checked, just for fun, the body bolts that run through the chassis where it's to be rewelded. Kinda shocked me when bolts that apparently have been undisturbed since approximately December 1961 undid without incident after a quick shot of PB Blaster and five minutes' wait!

I'm not really too worried about getting too deep into projects on the Herald at this point, though: I'm so sick of driving the winter-beater money pit that I can't wait to get the Herald back into daily service. :driving:

hehehe. sounding good. My poor old TR2 looks pretty much the same it did when I got it over 4 years ago. I have made some progress, and have a box of new parts, but at this rate it'll be 30 years before it's roadworthy.

I'd buy it, looks fun. I could't keep it green though

Ben,

Get real! It'll only be 20 years.

Howdy Ben,

Hey; Where have you been?

Ben; I have a `57TR3 Small Mouth. I`m looking to buy "Front Bumper Brackets, Bumper Bar & Overriders-Front & Rear". What would you have or know of someone who does to fill my needs?

Thanx, Russ

I'll keep my eyes open Russ, but until I find those same parts myself, my TR2 is going bumperless.. Moss sells most of those parts. Can't vouch for quality, or good prices.
