Hi All,
Well I did it, I bought my wife a '74 TR-6 for Christmas and am trying to sort through a couple of minor annoyances. Thanks for everyone’s advice on what to look out for in my first post to this side of BCF! I found her a very clean, solid original car. About the only thing it really needs is carpet.
The heater blower motor works fine on both speeds but sounds like the bearings are shot. Reading through some older posts, sounds like a real job to remove as you have to remove the dash? Anyway, is there a way to get at the motor bearings to add a little lube? If so, any suggestions on what? I was thinking 3-in-1 oil as it is very light and would flow easily. May be a short term fix, but she does not want to part with it for a week while I immediately begin to disassemble her new toy.
