The much anticipated trailing arm so kindly offered
and sent by Paul Rego has long last arrived to the
island. Christmas in April.

Now that I have a functional T/A to compare with
DPO Pedro's- I am surprised Wendy and I didn't crash
when the wheel seperated from Pedro's messed up T/A.
Pedro's T/A had one single functional stud holding the
wheel in place. When it gave, the wheel came off the T/A
while we were driving thru a curve at 40 mph.

Now a few weeks to install everything and the rear end
will be safe again and properly put together. (As properly
as a non-mechanic like myself can attain).

Here's a photo- Thanks again so much Paul! Once again,
Crypty has been spared The Crusher.

Now we will have nice sunny weather for a few weeks while you will be fixing cryptie skinning dem knuckles up. hehehe

If you sandblast or scrape off that stupid silver paint that the ebay seller needlessly put on the set that I bought, be sure to cover the threaded holes.

And good luck......

Crypty moving off life support once again!

Spooky.

You know me too well, Paul!
I enjoy refurbishing things.

Yup, first order of business this afternoon
was to get back down to bare metal and get that
DPO silver paint gone.

I filled the threads with the 6 new Moss studs
before I began the paint removal process by chemical
and brass brush method.

Hats off to you, Paul, for your generosity.

You're a good man.

Tinster: Congratulations on dealing with yet
another issue with ole Cripty.

Say, what's gonna happen if you run out of things to
fix? Hey, I know this car at the junk yard.......
