Spark plug wires

Hello,
If you had a choice, which spark plug wire would you buy?
Kingsborne Custom Fit Ignition Wires from THE B HIVE or Magnecor competition spark plug wires from MOSS?

I'm using the Magnecors. They're a bit longer than you may expect, but some wire rests clean them up nicely. Very good quality.

Good plug wires will make a difference in efficiency over bad ones. But "hi tech" or racing wires will make little difference over normal high quality ones. If anyone can actually feel a difference between a $50 set of wires and a $150 set then I want some of what they're drinking! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I've never experienced much from changing wires...but I do it every so often just to keep them fresh. Anyone know how long a good set of wires could be expected to last?....the DD's are probably coming due for a change. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

Wires do go bad. The interval is not entirely predictable though. Because of this, I usually change them every couple years and keep the previous set as a known working spare. Theoretically a set of wires can last many years, even decades.

Yup. I put in the Magnecors "just 'cause", but I have the old ones squirreled away in the unused battery box, along with the old distributor cap, points, rotor, and a couple of plugs. Never needed them, but we all know what'd happen if I didn't have them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I used just the standard set that vicky brit sells.

I buy bulk plug wire made for tractors (solid core wire) and make my own the wire ends are plenty cheap enough as are the boot ends the cap end goes into the dizzy so no need for that end waay cheaper than buying ready mades.Mark

I use the Bosch wires which are almost exactly the same as the magnecore, but the price is 1/3. Check them out:

They're a Mag core for low resistance and are a universal fit (cut to length.) I sell them for $20 including shipping, or I can cut them to fit and add cylinder markers for $30+ shipping. I'm sure you can probably buy them locally though!
