Was watching BREACH today.Story about FBI traitor Robert Hanssen. There is a scene with Hanssen and the young agent assigned as his assistant. The assistant is telling his boss that he has lied to him . Parked on the street in the background is a Tahiti blue B
You might also look at IMCDb the Internet Movie Cars Database. Search for make "MG" and model "B" and you'll see a number of movies and TV programs with them. 8 "pages" of MGBs with 30 per page listed, though some are multiple sightings in a single movie. And the listsing for the TV series aren't too useful (i.e., 1972-1978 doesn't give much guidance to a particular episode). FYI.
I recently watched "The World's Fastest Indian" again and there is a B in that as well.
Just after the arrival at Bonneville they main characters walk behind a trailer supporting a red B with a white factory hardtop fitted.
There were a large number of "period cars" in that movie.
Many were in the background as props but some ( like Breedlove's ) got full screen time.
Great to see.
I just got a DVD of Russ Meyer's "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" (1965). An MGA and an MGB are featured prominently, along with classic Triumph and Porsche. Ummmm...not a film for everyone and as with most Russ Meyer films, the female form is also featured prominently.
Besides the LBC tie-in, it is a classic example of the 1960s' "expolitation" films. To quote wikipedia on Meyer, <span style="font-style: italic">"1964...saw the ever economical director revert to black-and-white; with this change came a greater emphasis on storyline, almost theatrical violence, domineeringly psychosexual women, and their insipid male counterparts. The "Gothic" period (as it was termed by Meyer) reached its apex with the commercially underwhelming Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, which would eventually be reclaimed as a cult classic. It has a following all over the world and has inspired countless imitations, music videos and tributes."</span>
They showed a movie at MG2008, about a guy and his MGB, didn't see it, but those who did, liked it, can't remember the name, it was a new film, made by a small film maker.
