Jack and lug wrench locations

Does anyone have a picture showing how the jack, handle, and lug wrench should be stored in the trunk? I finally got one of each and don't know how to secure them! Thanks, David K.

Good question! I'd like to know this as well. My jack, handle and lug wrench bounce around when I hit a bump...I just figured this was the correct way since it can mask the sound of my diff or any other unwanted noise so as not to disturb an otherwise enjoyable ride.

I don't know about a 6 but my Spit has a snap top vinyl bag for the jack and stuff and no dedicated trunk location for it.

I always carry two and sometimes three jacks.
Here's a photo of 2 jacks and my tools and parts
in the trunk. I've removed the two jackstands and
fire extinquisher for the photo.

When I first got my 6 the jack, handle and lug wrench were in the engine compartment on the passenger side firewall secured with a leather belt; I actually think thats the correct location.
I now keep them in the spare wheel well with, you guessed it, the spare wheel.

Aside from all the stuff in Dale's trunk, I carry a parts cleaner, complete welding supplies, portable paint booth... -just kidding. I do carry a few tools in the trunk, but my TR6 has only let me down on the road ONCE in more than 20k miles and 4 years. I don't like rattles and don't know the 'correct' method (probably using that leather strap under the tire somehow), but here's how my jack, tool and handle stay quiet.

If you look closely at the picture of the jack, you'll see the cell phone charger I'd been looking for, and under that is the jack handle. You can't see the tire tool, but it's under there, held in place by that big wing nut.

THAT IS SO FUNNY. I had to look at my own picture to believe it. That spare doesn't even hold air. I had it at the tire shop twice, they fill it up and say it's OK. The other tires I have on the car are good, but I wouldn't drive any distance on the spare... especially if it's flat.
