TR4/4A TR4a, where to place jack

Have never used my TR4a lifting jack and have hesitated guessing, even after reading the manual. I believe its lifting position is about 35in. back of front wheel center point, and 31in. in front of rear wheel center. Could this be correct?.. both locations have a steel web spanning frame to body.
I will appreciate your opinion.
