Installation of "Wind Wings"

Purchased a pair of Wind Wings (Moss part 240-150) for my BN6 roadster car. Was wondering if anyone has some photos or measurements on where best to drill the holes in the windshield posts to install them. Would certainly appreciate any help. Thanks

Charlie - this is Basil (the BCF owner). It seems the images you had in your Avatar and Signature are hosted on a secure server. As such, any time anyone reads a post made by you, they would get a "pop up" window asking for a login name and password for your site. As I've had some complaints of this annoyance, I had to remove your sig and Avatar images. Also, when I look at your profile in my user records, because your email address is @ ccarpenter.net I also get a security popup. Do you have an alternate email (like a gmail or yahoo) you could use in your profile to avoid this issue?

I have mine mounted using the existing holes (1st and 3rd with #1 being at the top) if we are talking about the same things.

Thank you Bob. I'll see how that fits for me. Believe it or not the "Moss instructions"......(I'll bet nobody ever knew the words "Moss" and "instuctions" could be used in the same sentence). Anyway, they say AH requires drilling to fit.

My wind wing mounts use the bolts that hold the W/S frame to the W/S posts.

My car does not have the ability to mount either side curtains or a soft top.

That said, when retracted, the wings are well INSIDE the wide groove in the back of the W/S post in which the side curtain seal seats.

My assessment would be that in mounting the wings to the inside of the W/S post, they would not interfere with the side curtains.

You can still put the side curtains in with the wind wings mounted. It gets a little crowded up front and you have to be very careful opening and closing the door so you don't break the lower part of the wind wing. (don't ask me how I know - multiple times - I'm a slow learner!)

Speaking of wind wings, how effective are they on a roadster with the top down? Do they eliminate some of the buffeting or are they just decorative. Same question about the effectiveness of "above the windshield" visors. Do they work?
Any one care to comment?

I think there is a big difference with the wind wings. It definitely cuts down on the buffeting on the highway.
I curious to see the answer on the visors also. I have a pair that I haven't figured out how to mount.
