It's in Europe, almost certainly Germany and does anyone know more about the car with maybe side and front pictures or a website.

Cheers,

Ian

PS so far we've struck out on this side of the pond!

Mickey, It looks to be a coachbuilt job to me not a hard top.

Yes, I thought the same thing. But may have used that as a start.

Also saw a home-build, using a GT6 top here:

Whatever it is, I still want one!

frankenhealey, yes "thats what i ment to convay but my thoughts got in the way",... the healey factory built a couple or three non removeable permanent metal constructed ones most likely to emulate the jaguar 2+2. :savewave:

Hi Ian,

Ask Pete or Charles. IF it's Healey based, one of them ought to know.
If they don't, see if Charles will ask Bic Healey.

If he doesn't know, Charles' friend "Bobby" should be able to run the license number.

Tim,

Charles says he hasn't a clue so I've passed it on to Bruno Vestraete and also the German Healey Club. I really want to see a side and front view of this.

Shame they never raced as it could be our version of the Shelby Daytona (with a nice V8 in it :G). Now trying to visualise it with a Kamm tail.

Cheers,

Ian

PS just had my rad moved forward 4 inches and the radiator cowled. With a new hi-perf 14" electric fan it's dropped the temperatures by 10-15 degrees Celsius. His 'Lordship' has just done another superb job but I'm waiting for the bill now :eeek:

A little bit of further research shows it possibly to be a Muehldorf license plate and the 'H' on the end is for historic vehicle.

Anybody else?

What's the big mystery, haven't you ever seen a Mini Cooper, before? As far as the other one goes, I googled "3000 GT" in hopes of finding an answer, but only came up with an answer to a question that nobody asked:

Here's the website in case you're intrigued by the pic: https://www.junior3000gt.com/junior-3000gt-pictures2.php

Gee ! I didn't know that you were running hot. Is your radiator now enclosed and ducted like Pete's ?

My 4 SU intake and no-distributor ignition are coming along s..l..o..w..l..y.. I intended to fire it up this week, but didn't make it. We take off in the morning for the Texas Healey Round Up.

I'll send you an Email and pix out of forum.

Hello Frankenhealey,

I like the look of that car and agree that some side, front and 3/4 view shots would be nice also.

Would be an interesting project to undertake.

Best regards,

bundyrum.

That would be good project. A bit like the one in the Jan/Feb 2010 Austin Healey magazine. Applying this to a roll-up window model like the BJ7 would make a very nice GT car. Hhmm, let's see efi, a/c, 5 spd.,.......

Where did you get the picture?

Cheers,
Steve

Hello Guys,

The building on the background is typical German

These are german licence plates on the left you see a small D which stands Deutchland in our country it is nl wich stands for Nederland (translated as lowlands)

The M in the license plate indicates the car is registered in the German town Munich. The Mini is registered in Stuttgart(town)

Sherlock Frankenhealey reports back.

The car is a custom replica of Donald Healey's coupe but built on a BJ7. It had a monster 3.3 litre engine but the owner blew it up and it's back to a standard(ish) BJ8 engine. I can't get any further information or pictures as I spoke to the guy who maintains it in Munich. He says it's gorgeous but the owner likes his privacy.

Cheers,

Ian
