Today I destroyed $80 worth of furflex trying to install it on my 100/6. Is there a viable alternative ? I'm not really a klutz but I couldn't get that stuff to even think about going on. Help, Bob
Bob/ Mark, I am under the impression that Moss has gone to the Canadian Bristle Flex product by Mcgregor of CA. If the product you have is by them then the finger stock may have to be spread a bit to allow you to drive it home with a sharp blow using the heel of your hand. If it is the old Moss product only an /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/angel.gif can get it to fit and stay.---Fwiw--Keoke
Randy, yes, the junk I have has the aluminum clips. They either don't spread enough or bend on contact. The velour is held on by a lick and a promise, too. Worst product I have bought from Moss. Do you have an address or tel for McGregor? Stupid me, found him in the vendors listings. Thanks, Bob
Macgreor's phone 1877-7776381, macgregorukparts.com
their products are also available at Moss. The other Moss furflex is worthless. It will not stay in place w/o gorilla glue.
I think Macgregor's email address is macgregorukcarparts.com. The last time I checked Macgregor's color selection for Bristleflex seals was superior to Moss's, ie they had 2 shades of red, etc. That was months ago, however, and things may have changed.
To all who are interested, I just received a small sample of their door trim from Martin at MacGreger. Wow, does it hold. Pricey but high quality. It actually is held on by 4 rubberish fingers inside u-shaped metal core. Goes on like a dream. If any $ left over after the holidays I will have it!
Bob
