Dipstick tube not made anymore?

I've got myself a newly rebuilt 18gk engine for my 71 MGB, right now I've been using a press fit dipstick tube. Doing a bit of research I've discovered that this particular engine requires a "middle" dipstick and dipstick tube (according to this webpage https://www.mgbmga.com/tech/mgb17.htm), and this type of tube is threaded and screws into the block, so I'm obviously using the incorrect one with my pressed fit type. Problem is, nobody makes this "middle" tube anymore, which I don't really understand because every other dipstick tube is made except for this one, why not just make them all??

Anyways, has anyone ran into this and had a solution other than crossing your fingers and heading out to the pick-and-pulls?

My GK block has a press fit dipstick. Now it could be that mine is not original, but I kinda doubt it. If things have been working right for you, I would stick with what you have. One way to tell, is the hole threaded where the dipstick goes?

Well, I tested if the dipstick and tube worked by exactly filling the engine with 9 pints of oil. Doing this, the dipstick measured midway between the low and high mark, so it works. And yes, the block IS a press fit, not threaded like I thought it would be.
