    This engine powers what car?

I think some here will enjoy guessing.
I attended the Carlisle Import Show yesterday. Good show that included some not so often seen cars (these days).
Take a look at these engines....then name the vehicle they power.

Saab, all three? 2nd photo looks like the old 3 cyl model where oil and gas are mixed. They smoked a lot if the mixture wasn't set right. PJ

I think Middle is DKW - and, yes, two stroke

You're correct JP (and nice going - actually thought this one might be the toughest).
It's in the engine bay of this '62 DKW Junior de luxe.

Paul, You're correct on the last one (actually it says SAAB on the air cleaner). With its 3 downdraft Solex's, it's found in this 96 850 GT.

My father had a DKW 3=6, and, I am pretty sure I know the owner of the white one in the back - fascinating car, original condition and every record came with the car - even parking tickets

BTW, not getting any inspiration for the first engine?

Re: This engine powers what car?

That first engine photo powers a German import. The model sold reasonably well in the US in the second half of the '60's and into the first half of the '70's. With the twin carbs, it was the optional power plant. Although it was not a sporting vehicle, "sporty" models were made. This engine bay is actually connected to a stationwagon - which I would love to own, it was beautiful.
Just ask if more clues are wanted.

I'd guess the first one is from an Opel Kadett. I know they made a nice little Kadett wagon.

You've named it Nial. This one (a 1968) was a real beaut.

Darn Nial beat me too it, I recognized that one right off. My mom owned a Kadett when I was a kid and I remember "helping" my dad work on it.
