TR4/4A wire wheels

I've been shopping for a set of chrome 60 spoke wire wheels for my TR4A. Generally they cost somewhere around $1200
Today I discovered the TRshop in the UK which quoted me $1030 including shipping. Made by MWS in India under license from Dunlop.
Does anyone have experience with them?

No personal experience but they do have a good reputation. I have, however, bought things from Rimmer Bros in the UK. I find their pricing very often considerably less than the big three +++ even with shipping. Only drawback is 10 days or so transit time. I would think the TRShop would tell you who made the wheels also.

There was a time when everyone believed (rightly or wrongly) that the Indian-assembled Dunlop wire wheels were...uh...not so good. But everything I've heard in recent years would indicate that they are now a very good product (as one might hope for something branded Dunlop, regardless of where they came from). I've also heard nothing but good about MWS in general, and I would add that they seem very knowledgeable and quick to share their knowledge when one asks them a question!

I'll second that - my India-made Dunlop wires are still very good after 14 years of use. Required no special treatment when new or since - just mount and balance.

The technology involved dates back to when India had a Viceroy - so there should be no mystery, just basic competency and a desire to make a good product.

I have a set of the Indian Dunlops on my TR3. They were installed about six years ago and are doing just fine. When I bought them, Allen Hendrix of Hendrix Wire Wheel said that the Dunlops were as good as the Daytons, but mentioned that the chrome on the Dunlops was not as good as the Daytons. Don't know if that's still true today. I have painted wires, so for me it was a moot point. I see that he is now mentions the MWS wheels on his website.
