Sun Visors

Just wondering how our cars got away without sun visors for so long? Been driving 40559 every day for the last few weeks and the low winter sun here makes driving rather difficult towards the end of the day.

Are there any options for fitting visors that don't look too out of place?

I have a set of detachable visors that mount onto the flange of the front wind screen with Allen screws (they screw into a plastic strip so they don't harm the chrome). They must be taken off when the hood is up. They are smoke plastic so you can see through them. They actually work better as a wind deflector. I'm not saying they are worthless but less than effective. I get lots of "wow" comments though.

Thanks Tahoe. I have the hardtop on to ward off the occasional passing shower so I'm guessing the clip-on style visors may not fit. Doesn't seem to be much else out there for sale. Maybe it is time to invest in a tweed cap. Andy.

Try a long peaked cap, a bit like a baseball cap but with a longer peak - seems to work for the Caterham 7 boys over here. Unless you want to go tweed of course.

My wife uses a shade like the old style croupiers used to wear in the gangster films, :highly_amused:. but pink of course, and I go for anything that I can get on my head that will stay on at speed:thumbsup: generally a whitish version of a trilby/come cowboy hat, well rammed down, coupled with some go faster dark glasses.

I bought some aircraft sun visors. They are held to the windshield with suction cups. Another option: Sunglasses.

I was lucky and found some original amco visors, they fit great and work perfect.
