Slave Cylinder Support Rod

My 1960 TR3A is missing the rod that attaches to the oil pan and slave cylinder bracket. I have a support rod from an earliar TR3. I was wondering if Triumph had eliminated this rod in the latter models?

No, the rod should be there, it is on the TR4s as well - the one off the earlier car should work fine.

I agree the rod should be there, but not so sure that the early rod will work (assuming you mean it's from a TR3 with front drum brakes). There is a different rod listed for the Lockheed slave, and they aren't shown as interchangeable.

And I vaguely recall that when I tried to put a Girling slave on a previous TR3 with Lockheed hydraulics, that I had to swap the support rod as well.

My TR4A didn't have the rod when I got it, and I soon found out why it is needed when the section of the bell housing that the slave bolts too broke off....

Note that the oil pan bolt (screw actually) that holds the forward end of the rod is longer than its neighbors -- so if yours is missing the rod it may also have a 'too short' bolt there.
