Reproduction A arm question

I bought a pair of Moss' cheaper arms. On the ouside of the bushing housing it is seemsless, but there is a seem or raised area of metal on the inside. Is that supposed to be there? It "seems" that would wear the bushing out quickly. Is it there to make the bushing pivot with the arm?

Pictures please. Jack Laird swears by the more expensive A Arms and I do know the set on Bugsy now came off of a RB Car. Lots more metal in the later A-Arms as well as in the more expensive MOSS A Arms.

There is a bit of the threaded bushing that extends inward to support the cork seals which likewise have 2 different IDs.

No, on the other end where it bolts to the car.

Jim, this is a RB car.

Kelly,

As always you get what you pay for. I think you've noticed already that the less expensive reproduction A Arms aren't nearly as beefy as the OEM A Arms on your 79. That's the difference more metal and cross bracing in the more expensive A-Arms. For normal road use the less expensive ones are fine. If you are Auto-X or using on the track to put some severe strain on the front end spend the money wisely on the parts that keep the front end pointed straight.

Send us pics of the problem you are referring to.

Not nessisarily a problem. will grind it out. There is a raised seem on the inside of the bushing housing that would seem to shorten bushing life. No sign of it on the outside.
