Coming soon: these two excellent northeast vintage events (I'll be at both of them).

To register, you would need approved, current racing license (VRG, Vintage Council, SVRA, SCCA, NASA, etc) with current physical.
Cars are subject to typical tech inspection (log book, current belts, approved fuel cell, etc).
Both venues have arrangements for spectators. Call the track for ticket prices.

May 12 - 13: New Hampshire Vintage Festival, NHMS, Loudon, NH

The NH Vintage includes vintage motorcycle racing and sidecar racing. Earlier in the week, there will also be vintage Oval midget racers

May 17 - 20: Jefferson 500, Summit Point, WV

The Jefferson 500 is an excellent tradition started by the late Bill Scott and Brian Redman. Peter Brock will be the Grand Marshall this year. This year will feature a 2.5 / Trans-Am Reunion

Hi Nial--

I won't be at NH but will see you next weekend at the Jefferson. I'll be running the MK IV on test day and the Courier Friday-Sunday.

I had a total loss of oil pressure in the MK IV at Sebring back in March. This happened at an afternoon event on the back straight and because the sun was right behind me I could not see the OP light. When I saw the guage pegged at 0 psi I shut down but who knows how long the OP was gone.

When I dropped the pan I found that both nuts for the center main cap had come off the studs as a result of one having pulled out of the block. That was a bit disconcerting!

After total disassembly the crank tested crack-free and straight and I had all journals taken down .0010" and the block line honed. I replaced all rod and main bearings and finally got the engine back together this past Monday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
