Next Question on Rear Springs Mounting

I'm pulling my hair out trying to get the outer bushing out of the rear spring chasis bracket. Does anyone have a proven method? I was able to drive the inner bushes out with a drift. I can see I should have done this before I finished the body. But this car needed so much I just overlooked it.
Thanks, Dave C.

Well I have been successful using two old deep sockets one acts as a catcher while the other which is just slightly larger than the busing is driven into the spring eye. This expands the eye and the bushing falls out.Removing the socket is easy as it penetrates the eye only about 50% BEFORE THE BUSHING IS RELEASED.--FWIW--kEOKE

Thanks Keoke,
I was able to get the bushings out of the springs in the same way, but I pushed them out with a Huge bench vise. Now I,m trying to get the bushings out of the bracket at the rear of the frame. I got the inboard bushing out by driving it with a drift and hammer because there is room to hammer the drift from outboard. But to get the out board bushing to come out towards the outside, you can't hammer it. no room. I tried to use a piece of all-thread with a socket a tick smaller than the bushing and then a large socket on the outside with washers, thread up the nuts and hope the inner socket would push the bushing towards the larger catch socket. But I think it is cocking on me all the time and I can't get the system to work.

Dave.
