Hey Bill M or Gerard, anyone every try the tranny out of a Nissan RWD PickUp to see if it fits? Rather than a 210 Tranny which in the Midwest for sure are scarce as hens teeth but I did in the past own a '78 210 5 Speed. If only I'd known but that was PS - Pre Sprite Times

The transmissions out of the trucks were almost always for the bigger engines ("L-series") and are the same basic boxes as those in the 240Z's, etc. They are what fits in the MGB but not the Spridgets.

There was a Datsun pickup (1400) that used the 60 series transmission. I believe you can only find them in South Africa though.
