Finished!

OK - One is never actually finished, but totally drivable and fun! I thought I'd post shots of the finished engine compartment to document where it ended up. Things I did that are not quite normal:

1380 engine from MiniMania. Part of why I went through this effort was to get rid of a rear-main leak. Good news is it is mostly gone. Bad news, well, it is only mostly gone. Whilst I have no idea if the engine pulls the 120 hp that the MiniMania folks claim, it is definitely an upgrade from a standard 1275.

Weber DCOE 40 carb - what I have learned about tuning this carb makes me like them a lot.

T9 5 speed tranny. Gads, what a smooth little box! Shortened the shift lever and it feels just right. Need to mod the shift boot - make a leather replacement - the lever travel is just a bit more than the rubber likes.

M/E Walker Adjustable PCV Valve - I use one on a 427 in another car, works very well. And installed super neat - right next to and below the radiator filler cap.

Aluminum radiator from Bugeye Guys - Nicely made piece of kit. I then made a custom shroud to properly install a SPAL fan in front of the radiator - 12 inch fan, but, with care, does not foul the lower lip of the bonnet when it closes.

SPAL PWM fan controller. I have these on several other cars - the fan speed ramps up and down depending on the coolant temperature.

Aluminum fly wheel. Despite warnings that it would make the car tougher to get moving, not noticing any issue at all when pulling away from a stop. Engine is super snappy - which is what I expected when going with a lighter flywheel.

Radiator overflow tank - car will not be a daily driver and reducing hot coolants contact with oxygen will hopefully keep the coolant in good shape for many years.

TR 2/3/4 rear axle - larger drum brakes

Brake proportioning valve - to balance front discs with rear drums

Now to drive the little thing!
