Gentlemen:
Over a month ago I posted questions about springs/shocks on my 61 BE (Frame off restoration in 90 and springs were replaced then).
Now they are shot: bottoms out over minimal surface irregularities. Had them checked at St. Louis Spring who specializes in forging new springs. 40 yr. employee there checked and they are actually bent down at connecting points.
So.......I am going to purchase the Moss Mtrs. replacement rally springs that comes with 10 leaves. I don't rally, I cruise. Some of you suggested that I remove 2 of the 10 leafs when I replace. What is the consensus.
And yes, I know that if the shocks are bad, I should send them to Peter Caldwell.
Appreciate your advice and experience.
