I'm at the point of selecting a cam for my engine rebuild. I've decided to go with a stock cam for simplicity sake and the fact that I think it will fit best with what I'm going to drive the car for which is cruising around country roads and attending British car shows. No plans to track or autocross!
Are all stock cams the same? I see a fairly big price difference from some of the vendors. Just not sure if some have been "hardened" while others use cheaper materials? Also, Moss says their "stock" cam has an uprated TR4 grind. Honestly I don't know that I'd notice a difference but I wanted to see if any of you had some input to the decision.
PS I'm going with the 89mm piston and liner set
Thanks!
