OK I will fess up.
Back in 1974 I purchased my 69 TR6, in 1987 I hit a telephone pole and totaled the car. Pushed the passengers headlight back about 2 feet.
I love this car so after watching it rust until 1998 I decided to either build a new frame and put a V8 in or scrap it out and I couldn't scrap it out.
It made a great project for myself and my then 13 year old son.
After parting out the car, my rebuilt motor went into a TR6 that needed a motor, my OD trans will be in another car, and I hope my wire wheels will be used again.
Whats in the TR6 now? A full tube chassis, 9" ford ,T400, and a Pontiac 455.
This car went 9.99 at 135 MPH at the strip with the 455 on nitrous and iron heads. With the big turbo and alum. heads
it should go much faster.
Just thought I would take a little heat off the other V8 guys /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
