Just installed new rear springs on my 70 B. This was my first effort at any replacement type work on the car.Went well except the nut was frozen on the rebound strap stud and, you guessed it, I broke it off. Has anyone tried anything other than welding a new stud to the axle housing? Could stud be drilled out and then tapped for a bolt? Is the rebound strap a must? Thanks for any advice
