The All-British was today. It was really hot (mid-90s) and extremely humid, so there were fewer cars than in past years. The quality of cars, however, was pretty amazing.
Triumphs -- everything from a 2000 Roadster, Mayflower, TRs, Dolomite, Stags, Spits...even an in-process Italia (stripped to bare metal.)
MG- Typical assortment.
Lotus- A Lotus 11 Club (very nice!!!) plus Elans, Europas, Esprits.
Bentley -- '25 6 1/2 Litre open tourer was big and beautiful
Rolls Royce -- Tons of 60s-70s, plus a nice '32 phaeton
Aston Martin -- DB6, Vantage, Volante
Ariel Atom -- VERY COOL!
Jaguars -- some of the nicest E-Types
Sunbeam -- Alpine Harrington (featured in books,) plus some very nice Alpines, and even a very late production Tiger II (with Chrysler badge.)
Land Rovers/Range Rovers by the dozens.
Two very nice 100Ms, plus some of the most gorgeous Healey 3000 resorations.
Jensen Interceptors and Jensen Healeys were represented.
And Morris, Austins (including a Chummy that drove from Vancouver!) Hillman and all the rest of the best of Britain.
Seemingly half of Morgan's lifetime production (wow, some very wonderful restorations,) including a JAP-engined Beetleback three wheeler.
And a lone TVR!
Too bad -- no Lagondas (I saw a friend who has an amazing Lagonda, but he didn't bring it from Vancouver.)
My dad was showing his '64 Elan. He wanted me to bring the TR3, but it's about 65 miles, and I didn't feel like sweating it out in 100 degree heat (or risk overheating.)
A great show!
