TR2/3/3A mounting aeroscree on post 60000 tr3

Installing a couple of the aftermarket aeroscreens this weekend (it is finally sunny here and going up to 20 degrees (70F) on Saturday).

Anyway does anyone know the proper distance from centre for the centre-most aeroscreen post? I gather the TR2s were pre-drilled, but mine was not... not fussy on this, but as I sit at my desk wishing I was outside driving...

Acutally TR2-3A were drilled until around TS30000 + -. My TS29694L is drilled. The changeover is somewhere in my doc but I would have to look it up if you need the changeover point.

But the aftermarket screens might have a different center (from what I've heard). So best to measure your screens before dilling.

I can measure anything you want on my 3A, if I mis-read your request.

Thanks Peter, I know the repros are different, but I am after a single reference point hole - i.e. measured from the centre of the rear-view, how far over to the centre of the first aeroscreen post...
Will then drill the rest based on the screens I have.

Incidentially, I think I read somewhere that the repros are 1/8 inch narrower than the originals, but that there was also a difference in the distance between the two holes drilled for each supporting post...

The mounts on the repros are nothing like the originals either. The shape, number of fasteners, and fastener size as well as the dimension between the mounts is different.

Here's a pic of where I placed mine, I just tried to center it in front of my face (i.e. almost centered with the steering wheel):

Here's a detail of the 'shoe' (sort of a built up gasket) that I made for the outboard support so the thing doesn't tilt so much with the curvature of the scuttle.

The shoe is made from wood, a rubber gasket is in there too.

As you can see, the mounts are set so they can remain in place when the windscreen is installed.
