MGB MGB BRG witrh red interior??

Did a BRG "B" ever come with a red interior? Car looks good but I don't like that red.

Wouldn't be surprised, Bruce. I think that combination was found on early Jags and T-series MG's. The red leather, when it fades a bit, actually doesn't look that bad with the green.

I don't like it at all. Even if the paint was a different color, that's just too much red. Black carpet would have made a big difference. Perhaps even black panels with red piping to match the seats. But all red is not my thing.

According to Clausager, that combination was actually offered for a while on MKI GTs, but nothing is said about it being offered on a tourer. Even if it was, the red seats would have had black piping.

Its not that bad... but not something I'd find attractive...

The selleer should reconize this: "a rare opportunity to acquire a unique color scheme available on a select few cars...." ought to be worth a price premium? Eh? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Popping the "turn signal mounted incorrectly" bubble:

Depending on your car, the way he has his turn signal lens is correct! I have factory photos of preproduction & early production cars with the lens that way - I have sales brochures with the lens that way

I've not jumped into that discussion because I didn't want to embarress the guy who started that tale...but, early on during the design & initial run, they were correct...about the time they started putting amber lense on the 2-piece lens, they started turning them around.

If its a 2-piece clear lens, either way is possibly correct - according to factory photo literature.

I did not see that picture at first but now understand what this was about. Apparently though it can be either way.
